What is a personnel placement agency?

First of all, let’s clarify the concept of a personnel placement agency. A personnel placement agency is an organisation that carries out the recruitment, search and selection of the workforce for outsourcing and produces a report on it.
The job of a personnel placement agency is a set of private services that aim to bring jobseekers and those offering jobs together within the framework of the labour market, under conditions that are beneficial to both parties.
The work of a personnel placement agency in our country is regulated by a government decree. This is Government Decree No 118/2001 (VI. 30.). This decree covers the rules for registration of the activity of the personnel placement agency and the conditions for its exercise.
Contrary to the misconception of many, a personnel placement agency is not the same as a temporary employment agency. A personnel placement agency is a third party between job-seeking individuals and the companies offering a job, whose task is to bring the two parties together. Unlike a temporary employment agency, if the two parties meet successfully, the relationship is terminated, i.e. there is no tripartite relationship thereafter.
